Martin worked for Mt Isa Mines in Mt Isa as an Accountant, and in October 2001 Martin and Wendy left for the UK where they initially had Accounting contracts with BZL in Bristol (an MIM subsidiary).  They now live and work in London and are getting very good at keeping their web site up to date with their travels.

Martin plays cricket in London, and still trys to find time for the occasional game of Golf and Tennis, but these days he cannot find a team to play American Gridiron football!

Martin married Wendy Stephan on October 1 2000.

Wendy is also an Accountant and she worked at MIM's Ernest Henry Mine which is just north of Cloncurry.

Martin and Wendy spent their first married Christmas in Townsville with Wendy's parents, Gary and Rhonda Stephan, and Wendy's sister, Jodie.

The northern wet stopped them driving home to Mt Isa - they flew home a few days late, and Martin then had to fly back a week later to drive the car home - strangely enough this NEVER happened to Martin's parents in the 10 years they spent in Isa, with nearly every Christmas away! Gotta run out of luck sometime!!
